Putting a Groove Back into the Scene

StonemounTN Entertainment is presenting The Blue Light Speakeasy this Saturday December 7, 2013 at The HUB Lounge with a feature from the newly formed group DeJaNique. I had a chance to sit and chat with the ladies of DeJaNique (Deneka Lottalox Lewis, Kween Jasira Montsho, and Paige Dominique Brown) along with manager/brainchild Malaika Salaam and get a bit of insight on the formation of the group as well as the transformation of the Blue Light Social to a Speakeasy event. The ladies offer themselves as a tribute band to pay homage to the girl groups of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s while encompassing their individual talents. Each of the ladies are solo artists in their own right and the thought of them coming together has spiked one of intrigue and enthusiasm. This is going to be the event to be at this weekend. Advanced tickets for the event can be purchased at bluelightspeakeasy.eventbrite.com and there is a discount offered at the door with the password (contact one of the host for information). My complete interview with the lovely ladies of DeJaNique and Malaika Salaam will be up next week. Please visit the band’s fanpage on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DeJaNiqueMemphis) and StonemounTN Entertainment (https://www.facebook.com/stonemounTNEntertainment ) for more information about the ladies as well as other amazing events.
