Legal Insights In Hip Hop @ Music Resource Center

The world of hip hop can be one of the most treacherous to navigate from a legal perspective; multiple collaborators on a given track, beats from here and there, producers putting their finishing touches on a sound, several artists rhyming over the same track – who can claim ownership over the final product? How can an artist or producer avoid the legal ramifications that could come with not giving credit where credit is due?

To answer these questions and many more, the Music Resource Center presents “Legal Insights in Hip Hop,” featuring a panel of entertainment attorneys who will discuss need-to-know issues in hip hop and address specific concerns in an audience Q and A format. Like all MRC workshops, the event is free of charge, but RSVP is requested as space is limited.
