This historic international festival is a four day event emphasizing cultural diversity and ethnicity including music, cuisine, education, economics, transportation, technology, history, fashion, demonstrations, arts, crafts, and creative performances. Each year a different African country is selected showcasing a multiplicity of mediums.

The 2009 honored country is The Republic of Mauritania.
