Neosoulville and the Indie Memphis Film Festival (and other ramblings)

Movie Lovers: The Indie Memphis Film Festival kicked off on yesterday and I got a chance to check out “The Wonder Year” – a documentary about the complexities of hip hop producer 9th Wonder (Little Brother). This one was a must-see for hip hop heads and all around music lovers. If you missed it you missed it…but you can get more info HERE.

Tonight, Neosoulville will be hosting a music showcase featuring reggae band- Chinese Connection Dub Embassy and a few other artists (myself included) from 8:30-10:30p in the Playhouse on the Square Café. Soulful folk singer, Mike Joyner will be in the Café from 7-8:30 and Indie Rockers, Black Rock Revival will be playing the rooftop night cap party starting at 11p.

Back to the films…”Black Rock Revival’s short- “Mission Control” will be screening tomorrow night in studio 3 at Malco Studio on the Square and "Interrupters" will be screening at the Brooks Museum at 2pm on Sunday.

I’m sure I forgot to mention something so, I’ll be adding on to this post as the weekend progresses! See you tonight!
