The Maxwell Trilogy "Black Summers' Night"

You have probably seen pictures of a faded-up, chiseled cheek Maxwell popping up all over the place in recent months. It has been nearly 12 years since “Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite” propelled him to soul music royalty with legions of loyal subjects who, by the way, are awaiting word from him.
His next project, "Black Summers' Night," is said to be a trilogy of albums released over a three year span, starting this year with "Black." The following release, "Summers" is due out at some point in 2009 and the third album "Night" is slated for a 2010 release.

"Black Summers' Night" is Maxwell's first full release in nearly seven years. The project is already behind schedule. Initially, part one of the trilogy was due out in 2007 but was delayed due to unknown reasons.

Though he looks more like a real cool soccer dad these days than a sexy, afroed, superduperneosoul crooner, if "Pretty Wings" is any indication, he can still bring the sexy. An audio clip of the song is posted on the artist's MySpace page.
