Jill Scott is the No.1 Lady

Poet, writer, singer/ songwriter, actress, fashionista, activist, mother (yes, according to People magazine the 36 year old soulster is pregnant by fiance’, Lil John Roberts with the baby being due April 25th)…she can do it all with ease clearly being a “Jill” of all trades. Scott announced the pregnancy to reporters at the Television Critics Association conference while promoting her new HBO series The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.

Based on Alexander McCall Smith's best selling book series, 'The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency' chronicles the adventures of Precious Ramotswe, proprietor of the only female-owned detective agency in Botswana.

Three time Grammy Award-winning singer Jill Scott stars as series heroine Precious Ramotswe. Anika Noni Rose ('Dreamgirls') stars as Precious' secretary Mma Makutsi. Lucian Msamati stars as Mma Ramotswe’s suitor, JLB Matekoni. Also joining the 13-week run is Idris Elba (The Wire).

Coming off of a successful worldwide tour to filming her new HBO series in Botswana during her first trimester (might I add), Jill Scott defiantly proves over and over that she is the No.1 lady. Be sure to catch the show on HBO (Comcast channel 301) in March.
