All About Women @ Cook Convention Center
All About Women is designed specifically for women to take care of those things they’ve been meaning to in their busy lives and will feature more than 100 FREE activities and services designed just for women’s physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
You know it’s going to be a good day when, in a single stop, you can try belly dancing, learn how to repair your toilet, take care of all those nagging financial obligations (like setting up a living will, a serious budget and a plan of attack to improve your credit score), check your cholesterol and tend to your physical and spiritual health without spending a dime. That’s exactly what women can expect at the FREE All About Women experience coming to the Memphis Cook Convention Center on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
That’s right…this program is TOTALLY free to all who attend on May 9. While at All About Women, plan to:
o Take advantage of the free screenings available through Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women’s “Highway to Health” with health routes specific to the age of a woman.
o Learn alongside Home Depot experts in their award winning home how to weather strip or install a window lock as well as participate in a skills challenge… with power tools.
o Get moving with Divabetic®, a pop music-style diabetes education stage show featuring everything from fun feather boa workouts to prize giveaways. This live performance was developed to empower women affected by diabetes to feel like divas!
o Visit attorneys from Bass, Berry & Sims in their legal clinic where they will be executing Living Wills and Durable Powers of Attorney…free of charge, of course.
o Try a new fitness routine on the Active Lifestyles Stage – Mid East Oriental Dance to Tension Tube workouts to much more.
If you have a daughter, granddaughter, niece, younger sister, special young lady in your life ages 11+, plan to bring her from 6:00-9:00PM to the Main Stage for youth programming planned specifically for her. It is NEVER too early to start teaching our youth about a healthy lifestyle. All About Women even has free Girl Scout patches available for girls completing the requirements at www.AllAboutWomenTN.org.
Men, please pass this message along to the women in your life who deserve a day all about them.
More information, including a schedule of activities, is online at http://www.AllAboutWomenTN.org/.
