Renee's Soulful Adventure

It has been years since the duo Zhane released an album. And they aren't planning on doing so now. But there is something brewing for one-half of the super group. Renee Neufville's new offering, "Sovereign," (Verve) is slated to be released in February 08. If that's not exciting enough for you, Neufville is even said to be collaborating with Pete Rock on his upcoming 08 release.

Renee’s music has proven limitless, as evidenced on her new album which couples jazz and soul for a well-blended, harmonious adventure. But Renee is no newcomer to the music business. She's been in this thing for quite some time. In addition to Top 5 hits achieved in the Zhane days ( Sending My Love, Hey Hey Mr. DJ) , she's also toured globally as a keyboardist/ vocalist in Roy Hargrove’s RH FACTOR. Which in itself is quite an accomplishment being that RH Factor has hit almost every major international jazz festival over the years from NYC to Montreal and beyond.

Though it seems that Renee may have bowed out of the major spotlight since Zhane disassembled, she has been working in a steadfast manner to produce a lasting, quality body of work. She's embarking on February tour that takes her from New Jersey to Frankfurt, Germany. We will be listening.
